Raymond Darricau, co-author of this book, died on 24 August 1992. Two days before, he had received the manuscript of the present work. He, therefore, worked for Father Noailles and the Association of the Holy Family up to the end. This work was his last great work as an historian. He had undertaken it with joy, and he had discovered more and more in the work of Fr. Noailles, reasons for hope in the future of the Church, reasons he shared with us in our last conversation.
